
Bone Building is a very specific set of weight bearing exercises used to strengthen major muscle groups and maintain and increase bone density.
This class is divided into segments that includes a warm up, balance, stretch and cardio segments, followed by three sets each of weighted arms and legs and ending with core exercises and cool down stretches, giving you a complete and well-rounded workout.
A Bone Building class one-two times per week helps maintain current bone density; three times a week is scientifically proven to increase bone density.
This class is for everyone no matter your age or current fitness level.
Equipment: Hand weights (zero-8 pounds), a bottle of water, closed-toe and flexible sneakers
Optional: Ankle weights (zero-5 pounds) - after six months consistently taking the class
Duration: 60 minutes
This class is hosted by the Gardiner Public Library, Gardiner, ME.

Essentrics is a functional fitness class designed to build strength and mobility throughout the whole body while being respectful to its natural limitations with a series of stretching exercises that promote healthy joints, connective tissue, and strong muscles. It releases tight joints, restores energy, rebalances the whole body.
This class is for everyone no matter your age or fitness level.
Equipment needed: Yoga mat, sturdy chair, bare feet (or socks), a smile, a bottle of water

Strength Training increases muscle strength with resistance bands, hand weights or body weight. This class is designed to challenge participants to keep moving in all ways with a focus on functional fitness, keeping all the muscles and joints in fluid movement to improve balance, strength and mobility.
